PRIORITIES THAT MATTER

Fully Staffed, Stable Schools.

Excellence begins with stability. Students, families, and educators need schools they can count on — the foundation from which everything else is built.

I will fight to recruit and retain top educators through competitive salaries and benefits, expand access to high-demand programs in every neighborhood, and invest in what makes SFUSD distinct. When schools are excellent, families and educators stay, and communities thrive.

Keep Kids in the Classroom.

Nearly one-third of certain SFUSD student populations are missing more than 10% of instructional days. Children cannot learn when they are not safe, seen, valued, and heard.

I will bridge parent engagement, targeted supports for high-need students, shelter and safety for immigrant and unhoused families, and cultivate culturally affirming learning environments where every child belongs.

We must expand STEAM, language pathways and multilingual programs that honor students' identities and open doors to opportunity — from cradle to college and career.

Individualize Support.

Early intervention is essential. SFUSD must use the most effective, culturally responsive tools to identify student needs early and act on them.

We must close disparities in math, literacy, and college readiness with curricula that meet students where they are and prepare them for where they deserve to go — for every child, in every classroom, in every neighborhood.

Budget Responsibly.

Our money must reach classrooms. As a nonprofit advancement director, I have spent my career stewarding public and private resources to put dollars where they are needed most.

Today's dollars for today's students means cutting waste, protecting essential programs, and centering classroom excellence. A data-driven budget isn't just responsible — it's how we build schools that families choose.

Build Bridges, Build Trust.

Every priority on this list depends on one thing: communities and schools working together. Working-class, immigrant, and public school families deserve a real seat at the table — not surveys after decisions are made.

I will demand transparency in budgeting, enrollment, and program decisions, and draw on my experience organizing diverse SF communities to build bridges between families, educators, and district leadership. When we work together, we can build the excellent schools every child deserves.
